MEETING MINUTES – DECEMBER 6, 2025

The November/December Meeting of the Crankin A’s Model A Restorers Club, Inc. was opened by President, Paul Howes at 10:066A o December 6, 2025, at the Pioneer Art Settlement, 176 Lightfoot Lane, Barberville, FL., 32105.  There were 41 members present.  It was requested that the minutes of the last meeting be accepted as reported on our Web site: crankinasfl.com.  A motion was made and accepted.  Our Treasurer, Connie Kwiecien, gave the Treasurers Report.  It will be available upon request.  Ed Hart, soon to be sworn in at this meeting as our Treasurer for 2026, reported that he has set up record keeping starting on October 1, 2025 to transition into being new Treasurer and will give updated information at next meeting.  The length of time records have to be kept for past transactions will be looked into shortly.

Sunshine Report:  Karen Widajewski sent a Sympathy card to Herman & Sheila Wedemire and Get-Well cards to John Shepler and Glen Jewell.    Our Question of the Day was read by Jan Shepler for Cleo Banfi.  Paul asked that we keep Cleo & Frank Banfi in our prayers.   Jan told of Henry Ford’s love for Christmas transforming a log cabin into Santa’s workshop with toys galore and had large elegant gatherings.  Fred Clark reported on his Project Car.  Showed a framed picture of what they are building – a World War I vehicle complete with machine gun on the back.  Should be quite impressive upon completion.  Glen Jewell reported on the Garage Project car; Coming along nicely with gas tank panted and fenders ready for painting and next step is wood working to be completed.   Kevin Duffy gave us the latest info on our Web site.   Herman Wedemire, Randy Poirier, James Foresman and he will get together to figure out how to update and save an old dwindling down site with three years left on contract.    Bruce Hawley gave Pioneer Art Settlement Report.   It seems the great successful Model A Day and Settlement Jamboree brought to light the need for organized parking for future events.  Since over 50 cars attended they had little space to move in between and necessitated driving in areas the Settlement doesn’t want driven on.  Will need several Parking Attendants and our Registration Table moved out to closer to entrance to keep unregistered cars out of show area.   A suggestion was made that we limit the age range of admitted cars.  Over all they were thrilled with the crowd and how successful a day they had with our abundant help.

Old Business:    Jan Shepler reported on Ladies Day at the Settlement Library on Nov. 4, 2025.  They were able to Face Time with Angie and keep in touch - enjoyable morning.  The Veteran’s Day Parade on Nov. 8th had 7 Model A’s participating with enjoyable lunch at Brian’s afterward.  Our November Monthly Dinner at Carrabba’s on the 13th was attended by 33 members and thoroughly enjoyed.  November 28th Gaslight Parade was only represented by two Club Model A’s.   Gary Michael reported that Tuesday should be a busy day at the Garage regarding the progress on our air conditioners.  Ready to possibly flip the switch.

New and Continuing Business:  2026 Club Dues are now due.  $70 ($50 MARC and $20 for Crankin A’s).  Marina Coidakis reminded all to Please REMEMBER to bring Tickets, opens at 5 PM not before, and bring a wrapped exchange Gift.  Christen from the Pioneer Art Settlement praised Paul Howes for helping to teach children how to make toys.  Next Saturday. Dec.13th from 10 AM to 2 PM they will be doing it again and asked for volunteers.  Bruce Hawley will work with Paul Howes again and new volunteers are Steve Anderson and Andy Early.  Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2026 is our Stetson Mansion at Christmas Time Tour.  We will assemble at 9:30 AM for our Tour at 10 AM – we are the first tour scheduled.
