CRANKIN A’S MODEL A RESTORERS CLUB, INCMEETING MINUTES
February 28, 2026
The February Meeting of the Crankin A’s Model A Restorers Club, Inc., was opened by President, Bruce Hawley, at 10:04 AM on February 28, 2026, at the Pioneer Art Settlement, 176 Lightfoot Lane. Barberville, FL. 32105. There were 38 members present. It was requested that the minutes of the last meeting be accepted as reported on our Web site: crankinasfl.com. A motion was made and accepted. Our Treasurer, Ed Hart, was absent. His report will be available upon request.
Sunshine Report: Karen Widajewski sent cards to Lisa Moore, Wanda Fallucca and Herman Wedemere. Randy Poirier spoke on the importance of supporting the Settlement by becoming Members. Recently some of their funds were not renewed and they need our Club to help maintain property. He has Membership forms that can be filled out or we can go on line to sign up. Since they have been generous with us on giving us a 40-year lease on property, Randy requested all to sign up – very reasonably priced. Bruce reported that the collection fund at the Garage will now be $3.00 on Tinker Tuesdays and that a $50.00 Monthly donation will be made to the Settlement. Randy invited us to join the Jacksonville Club on March 7th starting 8 AM for informative day, such as carburetor rebuilding. Will text directions.
Question of the Day from Cleo Banfi was given by Jan Shepler. Henry Ford loved flowers and owned 87 acres of Gardens and a 17- acre Botanical Garden at his summer home. He did research on turning Goldenrod into rubber which was abandoned.
Paul Howes reported on the Project car – still waiting for glue to dry and that the header was fitted and to be installed on Tuesday. Joe Dlubac reported on the World War 1 project vehicle in Fred Clark’s garage; ready to be painted and waiting on electrical work for shot gun mounting. Kevin Duffy reported that the number of visitors to our web site greatly increased from 170 a month to over 1,000 – much updating needs to be done on website.
Paul Howes gave PAS Report. Bathrooms are temporarily on Hold. They will be having an Easter Sunday Service Reenactment at the Church – all are invited.
